Hank Schneider, Ph.D., LCSW is a License Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples and group therapy, and maintains a private practice in Columbia, MO.

With over 40 years experience Dr. Schneider serves a broad spectrum of adult clients.  Among his areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, relationship problems and childhood trauma/abuse.

Dr. Schneider uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.  He helps each client make changes to improve the quality of his/her life and overcome the effects of depression, anxiety and past trauma.  In his work with couples he seeks to develop an increased capacity to show caring, break unhealthy patterns of interacting and learn more effective ways of communicating and problem solving.  Dr. Schneider says, "Clients come to treatment with a variety of abilities and assets.  I help people identify and make use of their own resources, as well as add skills and knowledge to help them reach their goals."

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Schneider has added a confidential, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to safely provide psychotherapy services.
